Privacy Policy
Last updated 12 July 2026
This policy explains how HAIG KITCHENS LTD, trading as Haig Larder, collects and uses your personal data when you visit haigkitc.shop, shop with us or contact us.
1. Who is responsible for your data
HAIG KITCHENS LTD (trading as Haig Larder) is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at support@haigkitc.shop, by phone on +44 7253654902, or by post at 8 Shairps Business Park, New Houston, Livingston, West Lothian, EH54 5BZ, United Kingdom.
2. What we collect
We collect only what we need to run the store and support you:
- Contact & order details — name, email, phone (optional), delivery and billing address, and the items you order.
- Account & membership data — if you join a membership, the plan, billing cycle and status.
- Support & enquiry data — messages you send through our contact and wholesale forms, and our replies.
- Payment status data — confirmation of whether a payment succeeded, the amount and a masked card reference from our payment provider. We never receive or store your full card number.
- Technical & usage data — IP address, device/browser type and essential cookie identifiers needed to operate the site.
We do not ask for government ID, and we do not store card numbers in plain text.
3. Where the data comes from
Most data comes directly from you when you order, register, use the Kitchen Zone Planner or contact us. Some technical data is collected automatically by your browser. Payment outcome data comes from our payment processor, Stripe.
4. Why we use it and our legal bases
- To fulfil your order and provide membership — legal basis: performance of a contract.
- To provide support and respond to enquiries — legal basis: contract and our legitimate interests.
- To send service messages (order and delivery updates) — legal basis: contract.
- To retain checkout details for follow-up where you started but did not complete an order — legal basis: our legitimate interest in recovering the sale, balanced against your rights; you can object at any time.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations — legal basis: legal obligation.
- To improve and secure the site — legal basis: legitimate interests.
- For any optional marketing — legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
5. The payment provider boundary
Card payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe's own secure pages. Your full card details are entered with Stripe and are never seen or stored by us. We receive only the outcome (success or failure), the amount, and limited references needed to identify the order and handle refunds or disputes. Stripe acts as an independent controller and processor for payment data under its own terms and privacy policy.
6. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the store, and only as needed:
- Payment processing — Stripe.
- Hosting & infrastructure — our website hosting and platform provider.
- Database & storage — our backend data platform for orders, accounts and enquiries.
- Delivery — the carriers who ship your order.
- Email — our transactional email provider for order and support messages.
We may also disclose data where required by law. We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it for third-party advertising.
7. International transfers
We are based in the United Kingdom and serve customers worldwide, so your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the UK, EU and US. Where data leaves the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK/EU adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses with the providers involved.
8. How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected. Order and transaction records are kept for as long as required by tax and accounting law. Enquiry and marketing-lead data is kept for up to 24 months from your last interaction, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Optional marketing data is kept until you withdraw consent.
9. Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls and the use of reputable processors. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you and regulators of any breach where required.
10. Your rights (UK GDPR, EU GDPR and CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data. These include the right to:
- access the data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your data ("right to be forgotten");
- restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing;
- data portability;
- withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
If you are a California resident under the CCPA/CPRA, you also have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise any right, email support@haigkitc.shop. We respond within the timeframes required by law.
11. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. There is therefore nothing to opt out of in that respect. If this ever changes, we will provide a clear opt-out here and honour any "Do Not Sell or Share" signals.
12. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies to run the site (for example, to keep your cart and admin session working) and, where enabled, limited analytics to understand and improve the store. You can control cookies in your browser. See our Cookie Policy for detail.
13. Automated decisions and children
We do not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. The Kitchen Zone Planner offers suggestions only and does not decide anything about you.
Our store is intended for adults. Children under 13 may not register. Customers aged 13–17 may only order with the consent of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Complaints and contact
If you have a concern, contact us first at support@haigkitc.shopand we'll try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO); in the EU, your national supervisory authority.
